[edit] Personality Section

There is no personality section listed in any of the other "Heroes" articles, nor does it seem necessary on this one. I suggest that we remove it. I would like to reach at least some minor consensus first though, so as to avoid edit wars. Valaqil 14:55, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The First

In the episode "Parasite", we see Hiro teleporting both Ando and himself right before they were caught by Linderman's thugs. It is from the second episode after that that we discover Hiro time-travelled them both five years into the Dark Future. This event made Ando the first non-evolved human to attain the honor of travelling through time via Hiro's power —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.60.247.98 (talk) 03:36, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name in Kanji

Where does it specifically state that Ando's name in kanji is written that way? Otherwise it might just end up being removed from the page as it would be considered to be something that is "unsourced". As far as I'm concerned, different Japanese names are actually be written in many different kanji with different meanings. Even those who have the same name might have theirs written differently from each other. So how is it that Ando's name is written like that without any source provided? - DivineLady 10:25, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't remember who came up with that, I just nihongoed it, but I guess you got a valid point there. Maybe we should remove it until Heroes airs in Japan, just to see how they'll write it. --Fray Andrés de Pentarillo 00:38, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Why not just enter the name in Hiragana? That's immutable. --MahlerFan 21:20, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
IMHO there would be no point then, it would just be a transcription into Japanese. I'm gonna go ahead and remove the kanji though. --Pentasyllabic 21:35, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
I notice that the kanji 安藤 for Ando were recently reinstated. This seems correct to me - if anyone wants verification, an example I have found is on this photo (from the Heroes page at IMDB) of a letter clearly addressed to "安藤" (Andō). 133.1.90.161 06:14, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Weird Name

The name "Ando Masahashi" sounds ridiculous in Japanese. "Ando" (安藤) is a fairly common surname in Japan. But if his full name is written in the same order as "Hiro Nakamura" (personal name followed by surname), then it must be a personal name, which is ridiculous. The use of Ando is almost exclusively for surnames.

"Masahashi," if it writes "正橋," is a very uncommon surname. So together, his name consists of two surnames. If Masahashi were "Masashi" (正志, 将史, etc.) miswritten, then it would be a fairly common personal name in Japan. But then again since it's put in the place of surname, it can't be so anyway. --Hermeneus (user/talk) 21:41, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

I've met Japanese people with "last names" as first names. It's not that uncommon in any language really. It might sound a little strange, but not ridiculous.--ZayZayEM 08:19, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alternate future death

I thought Ando was killed by Sylar in the alternate future?

Or was it just that 9th wonders the comic book from the alternate future showed that Ando would be killed by Sylar in the present when he returned, but the actions of Ando and Hiro after returning to the present changed this making it a non-existent present-future (or as-yet-to-be present).

Time travel arcs are confusing...--ZayZayEM 08:21, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
