[edit] Brazilians
Why does this page only list Brazilians with the name Anderson? - PeeJay 22:26, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- Valid point, and probably enough to make it fall foul of some policy. However, I guess the originator's thought would have been that footballers who have Anderson' (or Andersen or other variants) as a surname, rather than a nickname (which can usually be taken to mean those of a northern European origin)are usually distinguished from each other by a forename. But it does not seem beyond possibility that players from another country where nicknames are so common as to render given names useless for identification might adopt the same moniker.
