[edit] Criticisms
Anderson California has been well known for harboring ex-Ku Klux Klan members and has been notable recently for hate crimes, such as the recent cross burning in the front lawn of an African American resident's front lawn.[1] The one who originally put up this section, seems to have had a strong bias, as shown here. [2] I've already removed the other parts dealing with drugs and pollution, as it was not sourced at all. This section can not even be reworded. There are no sources for Anderson being a 'well known' place for harboring ex KKK members and while the cross burning is interesting especially in a city this size if the same was done to every single other city in the world who has had a hate crime, what would we end up with? Actually, that particular hate crime described was well documented in regional newspapers like the Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune. It is also discussed on a PBS special called Not In Our Town. Here's the website: http://www.pbs.org/niot/citizens_respond/anderson.html. It seems strange to me that you would not consider PBS a credible source. Why not? Also, there's information re: this crime at the website for the Southern Poverty Law Center, another credible source. http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?sid=310 I'm not going to re-add the info, but I think you should know that there is verifiable information re: the hate crime so it's just an FYI.
