Is "The Great Fury" a generally accepted translation of Den stora vreden? Also, is "the Popular Theatre in Gävle" a generally accepted translation of Gävleborgs Folkteater? Strange indeed, since it is not a theatre only for Gävle but for a region. We are not talking about tings in general here, but about a play (based on a book) and a theatre; the names are proper names (sv. "egennamn"). Please keep away from home made translations of those. It is much better to write the Swedish name instead. / Habj 13:47, 3 August 2005 (UTC)
- I think it would be useful for English-speaking readers to have some kind of translation of the title "Den stora vreden"; and I don't see providing such a translation as problematic, so long as it's relatively accurate, and the original Swedish title is also provided. No argument on the name of the theatre, the name I provided previously was as I found it on another site. I've added a link to the "Gävleborg County" entry. -- Takwish 18:02, 3 August 2005 (UTC)Takwish

- If Vreden indeed has been translated to English, and the English title is something completely else (not at all uncommon) then offering a home made translation is misleading. Btw the title Den stora vreden is not at all easy to understand; it can easily be mistaken for a description of a person being angry, but that is not what it is about (seen the play, read the book - almost, not finished all the 1200 pages). Regarding the theatre maybe a description could be added after the name, rather than a translation of it. I am not sure how to describe the concept of "länsteater" though. / Habj 03:39, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
- If someone wants to add literal translations of book titles etc., I won't object as long as it is obvious that it is a literal translation and not a title that the book can be found under in English. "(rough translation: The big wrath)" or something would do, I guess. / Habj 03:44, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
I had found the translation "The Great Fury" in the English liner notes to "Med hull och hår." I'll use "(rough translation: The Great Wrath)"Takwish 04:33, 5 August 2005 (UTC)Takwish
- Regarding the play, it seems there are a few versions around. At an old version of Hedningarna's website [1] it looks like the person who made the page didn't even know the Swedish name of the projekt, but used the translation "The great wrath" in Swedish text. / Habj 07:57, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
I removed the trivia section. First of all, current Wikipedia standards are against trivia sections. Second, it had only one item. Third, the one item was incorrect. Vargtimmen by Finntroll is a straight cover of a Hedningarna song by the same, not simply 'based on' something that Anders wrote. Matti Nuortio, Oulu, Finland 20:13, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
