Andrew "Andy" Taylor (born March 14, 1986 in Blackburn, England) is an English footballer who is currently playing for Tranmere Rovers. He is a defender.

He attended St. Bede's RC High School in Blackburn and is a product of Blackburn Rovers Youth Academy. Having represented England at both under-19 and under-20 level, Taylor signed a new three-year deal with Blackburn Rovers in September 2005.

Tranmere Rovers have decided to make his loan spell at the club permanent, signing him on a two-year deal in the January transfer window. He made 30 league appearances in his first season and was voted young player of the season by supporters and is sure to become an asset in the Tranmere side having succesfully dislodged team mate Shane Sherriff from the left back position.

Taylor has had loan spells at Queens Park Rangers, Blackpool, Crewe Alexandra, and Huddersfield Town (from 31 January 2007 to 5 April 2007).

He scored his first professionl goal for Tranmere on New years day in 2008, away at Crewe. A specatular half volley, maybe one of the reasons Rovers paid our for the promissing youngster.
