Andy Strachan

Andrew Douglas Strachan (born August 20, 1974) is the current drummer in the Australian rock band; The Living End. He has been playing in the band since 2002, after previous drummer Travis Demsey left.

Andy plays the drums on the One Said To The Other EP, Modern ARTillery and their newest album, State of Emergency.

The correct way to pronounce Andy's last name is "Strakkan", rather than the common pronunciation of "Strawn"

Andy won the 2006 Jack Award for the Australia's Best Drummer category!

Andy started playing drums at age 12, after an unsuccessful stint with the violatwo weeks.

He has also played in the bands Social Insecurity, Alcotomic and the more famous band; Pollyanna.

At age 15, he began playing drums in an Adelaide band called The Runaways, playing covers of mostly '50's and 60's songs.
