Andy Robinson (born November 3, 1979 in Birkenhead, Wirral, UK) is a professional football player, currently playing for League One side Leeds United.
Robinson began his football career playing for non-league Merseyside team Cammell Laird before being recruited by Tranmere Rovers on 1 December 2002. Rovers overlooked his potential however and soon released him, allowing Swansea City to snap him up; initially on a 3 month trial then on a permanent basis.
He has become popular for his success with Free Kicks, though his temper being his only detriment. He has missed more than a handful of games in his time at Swansea City, including the first 5 games of the 2005/06 season and has now seemed to calm himself and has not been red carded since.
After helping Swansea achieve promotion from League One, Robinson began negotiations on a new contract, with his current one due to expire. Unable to immediately come to terms, Robinson received an offer from Leeds United which he accepted in late May 2008.
He is the cousin of Toronto FC vice-captain and Welsh international Carl Robinson.
