Andy Ripley

Andrew George Ripley was (born 1 December 1947) is a former English rugby union player who gained 24 caps for England in the 1970s and a place on the Lions 1974 tour. He played at the back of the scrum and was famous for his high-stepping run which made him particularly hard to tackle.

He is now a successful businessman who subsequent to his rugby career became a BBC Superstars champion and world indoor rowing champion

In 2005 he was diagnosed as suffering from prostate cancer and has written a book about the experience.
