Andy Hargrove is a fictional character on the CW television series One Tree Hill, played by Kieren Hutchison. He was Karen Roe's business professor and lover in season two. He returns as Karen's fiance in season five.

When Andy was 21 he made his first million with a B2B search engine. The year after he tripled it, and then tripled that. He then did an IPO.[1]
[edit] Season Two
When Karen Roe (Moira Kelly) and he met for the first time, he pretended to be a student and scared her by saying that the teacher was a bully, but it turned out he was the teacher. He persecuted Karen a little, but it soon became clear that he was in love with her. And Karen soon fell for him, healing from her love issue, but she was scared by the age gap between them. It was further evidenced when she saw him chatting like a friend with Lucas (Chad Michael Murray). They stayed together however, even though it was a bit of a forbidden love. They had several troubles: for instance, Karen's grades maybe being love driven and Andy's female acquaintance, who turned out to be a woman he cared for since he had crippled her with his car while going to work, which was the reason he gave up his multi-million dollar company.
They soon had troubles with Dan Scott (Paul Johansson), Karen's former lover, who wanted Andy out of the picture. They began investigating on him and found out Jules' (Maria Menounos) secret, which led to her breaking up with Keith Scott (Craig Sheffer). Andy then helped Lucas take Dan down because of his conning, but that was a complete failure, as Deb Scott (Barbara Alyn Woods) would also be incriminated. Andy and Karen leave together to care for Andy's ill mother. When Karen returns in the next season she reveals to Lucas that she broke up with Andy because he wanted to start a family and she didn't.

Andy returns for Lucas's wedding with Karen and Lily (Mary Kate Englehardt), Karen's daughter with Keith, who was murdered by Dan. Karen and Andy have been travelling together and are a couple again, although he tells Lucas he'd be willing to give it all up to have Keith back for him. When the recently paroled Dan turns up, Andy looks furious to see him. [2]
