Andrew "Andy" Barr (born 21 June 1979 in Birmingham) is a former professional footballer, who is currently the Head Physiotherapist at Bolton Wanderers.
His career as a young football player with Luton Town was cut short by injury and this lead to him studying for a Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy whilst playing non-league football for the likes of Warrington Town, Vauxhall Motors F.C., Caernarfon Town and Altrincham.
In 2001 he began his first spell at Bolton as the Assistant Physiotherapist, holding particular responsibility over the clubs youth players and he proved to be an integral part of the Sport Science network which the club's former manager Sam Allardyce was keen to implement at the Reebok Stadium.
The departure of long serving physiotherapist Faz Page in October 2004 gave Barr more responsibility over the senior players, but in the summer of 2006 he was to take up a more senior role with Southampton as the Saints looked to recruit a new Head of Sport Science.
Returning to Bolton under new manager Gary Megson in late 2007, Barr now heads a physiotherapy team which includes Steve Foster and the one time Manchester City midfielder Paul Lake.
