Andrzej Zajączkowski

Andrzej Zajączkowski (May 27, 1922 in Lublin–December 16, 1994 in Warsaw) was a Polish sociologist, culture anthropologist, Africanist. Since 1978 professor of Polish Academy of Sciences and University of Warsaw, since 1981 director of Center for Studies on Non-European Countries (Polish Academy of Sciences). He was specialising in historical sociology and sociology of developing countries. He was lecturing on universities in Ghana and Uganda.
His most notable works includes Główne elementy kultury szlacheckiej w Polsce. Ideologia a struktury społeczne (1961), Niepodległość Konga a kolonializm belgijski (1968), Muntu dzisiaj. Studium afrykanistyczne (1970), Szlachta polska. Kultura i struktura (1993).
