Andriy Anatoliyovych Rusol (born January 16, 1983 in Kirovohrad, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian football player. He is 182 cm tall and weighs 75 kg.

Rusol is a defender. He started his career with FC Zirka Kirovohrad in the 1998/99 season. He then transferred to FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih for the 1999/2000 season. He played for Kryvbas until 2003, when he was transferred to FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. He played 117 matches for Dnipro and scored 5 goals. In the 2007-2008 season Andriy finnaly became the captian of Dnipro.

Many of Europe's top clubs were interested in signing him this summer, Olympique de Marseille, Werder Bremen, Schalke and Bayern Munich all looking at him.

Rusol debuted for the Ukrainian national football team on March 31, 2004. Since then he played 35 matches and scored 3 goals (as of June 23, 2006).

Rusol scored Ukraine's first ever World Cup finals goal on the 4th minute in the game against Saudi Arabia in the Fifa World Cup 2006. Recently he was the captain when Ukraine faced Sweden in Solna and beat them 1-0.

At this moment, he is a bachelor. At an interview, he said that he wanted to keep his freedom. He likes to listen jazz and read good books. He is an intellectual player.[citation needed]
