From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Andria Gayle Mullins (born October 8, 1980) is a beauty queen, model and actress from Texas who has competed in the Miss Teen USA pageant.
Mullins won the Miss Texas Teen USA 1997 pageant and competed at Miss Teen USA 1997, broadcast live from South Padre Island, Texas in August 1997. She later competed nine times for a Miss USA state title, entering the Miss Texas USA, Miss New York USA and Miss California USA pageants, but never won a title. After her final attempt in 2007 she became ineligible to compete in the future because of the competition's age restrictions. Her highest placement came with this final attempt in the Miss New York USA 2007 pageant, where she placed first runner-up to Gloria Almonte.

[edit] Miss Texas USA attempts
Little more than six months after passing on her crown, Mullins competed in the Miss Texas USA 1999 pageant, but did not place. She competed again in the 2000 event, again with no success. In the 2001 pageant Mullins, competing as Miss Williamson County USA, made the top fifteen. The following year, at Miss Texas USA 2002, she placed second runner-up, in what would be her highest placement overall in the Miss Texas USA pageant. In that pageant six former Miss Texas Teen USA titleholders, those who held titles from 1995-2000, competed, the highest number of former teens from one state to compete in a Miss USA state pageant. In 2002 she won the Miss Austin USA 2002 title[1] and competed in the Miss Texas USA 2003 pageant, her fifth attempt at the title. She placed in the top twelve in that competition, echoing her placement in 2001.[2] Mullins' final attempt at the Miss Texas USA crown was 2004, when she again made the semi-finals, as Miss Central Texas.[3]
[edit] Attempts in other states
In 2004, Mullins made the first of three appearances in Miss USA state pageants outside Texas, when she competed in the Miss New York USA 2005 pageant. Mullins placed fourth runner-up in that event, which was won by Meaghan Jarensky. The following year Mullins moved to Los Angeles, California where she competed in the Miss California USA 2006 pageant won by Tamiko Nash. Competing as Miss City of Angels, Mullins made the top ten. In her last year of eligibility, Mullins returned to New York where she competed in the Miss New York USA 2007 pageant. In her final attempt at a Miss USA title, Mullins placed first runner-up to Gloria Almonte, her highest placement in nine attempts at a crown. Almonte was also a former Miss Teen USA delegate, having held the Miss New York Teen USA title and placing first runner-up at Miss Teen USA 2001.
Mullins is one of a number of former Miss Texas Teen USA titleholders who competed numerous times for a Miss USA state crown but were unsuccessful by the time they aged out. Others include Mandy Jeffreys, Miss Texas Teen USA 1995 and Christie Lee Woods, Miss Texas Teen USA and Miss Teen USA 1996. She is one of very few Miss USA state pageant competitors who have competed in all nine years of eligibility without winning a title.
[edit] Other
Mullins appeared in the reality television show The Starlet in 2005. During the show she and ten other young actresses lived together in Marilyn Monroe's old house while competing in a series of acting challenges for the chance to win a role on the WB drama One Tree Hill and a management contract with 3 Arts Entertainment. She was the first eliminated on the show.
