Andrew Weiss (guitarist)

Andrew Weiss is a bass guitarist and producer.
He produced and played bass for most of the Ween albums, played bass for Greg Ginn's post Black Flag band Gone, and also played bass with Rollins Band from about 1987 to 1993. He was also a member of Regressive Aid, along with Sim Cain and William Tucker.
He has also played with Yoko Ono, Gone, Pigface and the Butthole Surfers, presumably not in the same gig. Andrew also played with and produced Johnny Depp's band "P". In 2001 Andrew produced a piece called "Dark Satanic Witch" by Junkygood, a New Jersey based band with former members of The Semibeings, brothers Joe and Pat Baker at his studio the Zion House of Flesh. In 2002 Andrew produced current Ween bassist, Dave Dreiwitz's duo band Instant Death debut album "New Evil Vibe". He has also produced albums for Latin rock bands Babasónicos and Cafe Tacuba. He was also featured as the bass player in the movie It's Pat.
Production work on the Ween albums was done at his studio, Zion House of Flesh, in western New Jersey.
Andrew Weiss was the drummer of the short-lived punk rock band Ed's Toolshed.
