[edit] English
Andrew is well educated and believes everyone should go to university. He teaches English and joined the school as deputy headmaster, after leaving his old job as Head of English at a local grammar school. Treneman has an infatuation with fellow worker Kim Campbell, and has be known to have been involved with English teacher Lorna Dickey, although this relationship did not last long.
He cares deeply about the welfare and education of the students, and has said to want to see every student get an education he had received in his life. He eventually accepted an offer to teach in Rwanda, and colleague Kim Campbell agreed to move there with him.
On his first day at Waterloo Road, Andrew confiscated a mobile phone from Donte Charles, who was using it in class to contact his father. Donte's father Clarence came into school and demanded that Andrew should return the phone, and when Andrew refused he was assaulted by Mr Charles, who had to make an apology in front of the school to avoid being charged with assault.
[edit] Headteacher
Andrew was made headmaster by Roger Aspinall but thought Roger's rules were too harsh. He then was back to being the deputy headmaster, and Jack Rimmer reverted to the role of headmaster.
[edit] Series 4?
It has been revealed that two former characters will be returning to Waterloo Road in Series 4. It has also been revealed that Kim Campbell is one of them. It has been speculated that Andrew is the other character who returns, but this speculation has yet to be confirmed.
