Andrew 'Andy' Shinnie (born July 17, 1989 in Aberdeen) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Rangers in the Scottish Premier League.
Shinnie, a striker, made his first team debut for Rangers on March 17, 2007, coming on as a substitute for Dado Pršo in a Scottish Premier League match against Aberdeen.[1] On the same day he scored two goals for Rangers Under 19 team against St. Mirren Under 19s.[2]
Shinnie has also previously been part of the Scotland national Under 18 squad.[3]
He played the full 90 minutes in Rangers' 5-0 Scottish Youth Cup victory over rivals Celtic on April 26, 2007, scoring Rangers' first goal.[4]
On July 4, 2007 it was announced that Shinnie had signed a new three year professional contract that will tie him to the Ibrox club until the summer of 2010.[5]
