From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Andrew Seow Ee Meng (simplified Chinese: 萧乙铭; pinyin: Xiāo Yǐmíng) is a Singaporean actor best known for his role as the fiery tempered eldest son in the family drama series, Growing Up on MediaCorp TV Channel 5. Although weak in his Chinese, he brushed up on the language and starred in several Chinese dramas on Channel 8, an effort which has won him several nominations in the annual Star Awards.

Andrew's greatest acting asset is in his eyes. His chiselled facial features give him that telegenic aura that is so crucial in the entertainment scene.

Andrew was a prominent model in Singapore before being talent scouted to act on TV. He has acted in a multitude of roles and has garnered several awards along his way. His credible portrayal of the rebellious but yet filial son in the drama Growing Up earned him the award of Best Newcomer in the annual Asian Television Awards.

He was also nominated as Best Supporting Actor for his role as a deranged stalker in Triple Nine for the same award ceremony a year later. His range is not limited to just headstrong roles but those that requires his comedic talent like My Genie too.
