Andrew Purser (born October 31, 1958) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League.
A ruckman, Purser was a premiership player with East Fremantle in 1979. He joined Footscray in 1983 and played with the club for five seasons. In just his second season he won the Charles Sutton Medal for Footscray's best and fairest player.
After 112 VFL games he returned to Western Australia, a state he represented at interstate football, and finished his career with a brief stint at West Perth. He decided to retire at just 28 yrs of age.
After hanging up the boots, Purser worked as a full time accountant for nine years before starting a venture capital business with long time friend Chris Marco.
Once given the nickname "wild thing" by commentator and popular television personality Dennis Cometti, Purser has since settled down and spends most of his time these days heavily involved in the sporting aspirations of his children and working on his new fashion line; Essential Euro.
