Career highlights

Andrew Pugsley (born July 25, 1978) was an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

Pugsley came to Collingwood as a rookie late in 1996 from Scoreseby via Eastern U18s. His versatility as a forward, where he could play tall and small were valued, and his form in the reserves in 1997 as a goalkicker saw him elevated to the senior list for 1998. He kicked 2 goals on debut, his first 2 kicks resulted in goals, a very rare achievement. He played only 5 games, before being delisted from the club at the end of 98.

He sought a further opportunity at Richmond before finding his feet in the VFL with Box Hill. However this failed opportunity led to him being placed on an official collectors edition of the 'worst sides' in AFL between 1990-1999, he was placed on the Half back line for the Pies.

Known as Pugs, 'The Pug Dog' and Andrew the Animal, Pugsley has had a distinguished amateurs career, playing a leading role at the Old Scotch Football Club. While Old Scotch were mediocre in his seasons there he entertained fans and team mates with his skills and light hearted attitude on and off the field.
