Andrew O'Connor (born 1978) is an Australian novelist.

Born in Warragul, Victoria. He studied Arts at Melbourne University before travelling and working in central and northern Australia. Following that, he lived and worked in Tokyo and Nagano, Japan. He presently lives in Vancouver, Canada.

While living in Japan, he wrote his first novel, Tuvalu which won The Australian/Vogel Literary Award and Commonwealth Writers' Prize (South East Asia and South Pacific Region, Best First Book). Tuvalu was also longlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, 2008.
