Andrew Miller (writer)

Andrew Miller (born 1974 in London) studied literature at Cambridge and Princeton. He worked as a television producer before joining The Economist to write about British politics and culture. He was the magazine’s Moscow correspondent before taking over as editor for British politics and is the magazine's current Bagehot columnist.
He is the author of The Earl of Petticoat Lane, a family memoir about immigration, class, the Blitz, love, memory and the underwear industry. In the New Statesman, Linda Grant described the book as "a fantastically interesting and well-written story". Jonathan Freedland called it "exquisite", Time Out "superb" and "a magnetic read". In the Daily Mail, Julie Myerson said The Earl had "moved [her] to surprised tears".
