[edit] History
McDermott performed in clubs in England and tried to establish a band there in his early years before he moved to Germany to join the band Sargant Fury. After three albums the band dissolved and in 1998 McDermott joined Threshold as lead-singer, replacing Damian Wilson.
In 2003, Wieland Hofmeister - being a Threshold fan and living near McDermott - asked him to join his project Yargos. McDermott accepted and they released an album in 2005.
McDermott is working on a solo album.
In 2007, days before the "Live Reckoning" tour with Threshold, he surprisingly left the band[1]. For the tour, he is temporarily replaced by previous frontman Damian Wilson[2].
