Andrew William Carter (born January 29, 1949) is a retired track and field athlete, who represented Great Britain in the men's 800 metres at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany.
He won the bronze medal at the 1971 European Championships in Helsinki, Finland in the men's 800 metres, behind Yevgeniy Arzhanov (Soviet Union) and Dieter Fromm (East Germany).
