Andrejs Rubins (born November 26, 1978 in Riga Latvia) is a football midfielder from Latvia. He currently plays for Liepājas Metalurgs on loan from Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow. He also plays for the Latvia national team.

Rubins started his career in 1996 at FK Auda in the Latvian 2nd Division. The following year he moved to Sweden with Östers IF where he made 11 league appearances before moving back to Latvia in 1998 to play for FC Skonto where he made 67 appearances, scoring 14 goals. In 2000 he moved to English Football League First Division club Crystal Palace. However, he made just 31 appearances in three seasons at the club in December 2002 he moved to Russia initially to to play Spartak Moscow in the Russian Premier League on a free transfer.[1] However, three months later, and without playing a game he was sold to Shinnik Yaroslavl,[2] where he played 51 games in two seasons. In January 2005 he signed a four year contract with Spartak Moscow who were managed by former Lativan manager, Aleksandrs Starkovs.[3] After struggling to settle he made just five appearances and the club sent him on loan back to Shinnik Yaroslavl in January 2006 for 12 months[4] [5] In June 2007 he was linked with another loan move, this time with English Football League Championship club, Blackpool [4] but he eventually went on loan to Latvian Virsliga club, FK Liepājas Metalurgs on 27 July for six months.[6]

Rubins has played 91 international matches and scored 8 goals for the Latvia national team. [7] He debuted in 1998, and played at Euro 2004.
