Andreas Hermann Landl (January 2, 1960 in Vienna, Austria), is an Austrian economist, peace activist, social scientist, peace researcher, advisor, coach and journalist. He is chief editor of friedensnews.at one the most read online-magazines on peace journalism in German language.
Andreas H. Landl became 2002 admits, when build up before and during the Iraq war,2003, the on-line magazine [www.friedensnews.at] and the radio magazine "Friedensstiftung - Peace Conversation", which was emitted from 2002 to 2004 on the ORF MW 1476. Today is friedensnews.at one of the most successful on-line magazines of the civil company in Austria. Since 2006 Andreas H. Landl applies as a most active and internationally most well-known Austrian peace journalist. He understands himself in the tradition of Johan Galtung and Alfred Hermann Fried as “rational pacifist”. He tries with communication with peaceful means to work unconscious pathologies and traumaized people with hypnotherapeutic language, humor and reason. Diagnosis and healing in the sense of the dialectics of enlightenment.

Landl left comerial academy in Bregenz at the age of 19. In 1979 he moved to Mödling and started to study political economy and sociology at the University of Vienna. He objected military service in 1978 and started his alternative civilian service in 1980 at the red ross. 1980 he was elected as Chairman of a rapidly growing syndicate for alternative civilian service and non-violence (ARGE Zivildienst). He co-created and wrote in Gewaltfreier Widerstand! (Non-violent Resistance), and in 1983 he and he and five other students organized an alternative study group on conversion of armament industry (Conversion 2006). In articles published within Der Zivildienst and its successor, Der gewaltfreie Widerstand (Non-violent Resistance), he articulated on disarmament, conscientious objection and pacifist philosophy.
In 2003 he became vice chairman Austrian Network for peace and Non-violence a network of 35 organisations of Austrian peace movement. He stands like Imanuel Kant and Alfred Hermann Fried in the tradion of the ideas modern trans- and international organizations to assure world-wide peace by peaceful means (Gandhi - Galtung). This principal ideas must be developed carefully and consequently in Organisations like the African Union, the European Union and in the UNO.

1983 as course of studies representatives for political economy A.H. Landl initiated together with the “peace committee SOWI” the “Group of Project Studies on Economics of Armament”. This group of project studies organized together with professor Alexander Van der Bellen a project study at the University of Vienna and the school for economics Vienna.

Since 1996 A.H works. Landl as organizational management consultant. From 1997 to 2000 he works also as a teacher for commercial affairs at the Commercial Academy Oberpullendorf(Bundeshandelsakademie).
Since 2000 he works as free coach, advisor and journalist. Since 2006 of training representatives at the university of applied sciences St. Pölten (Writing for the Web).
2006 project co-ordinator, moderator of the Symposion "20 years city of peace Linz - local policy of peace and globalization of the uncertainty". 2007 intensive concerning with peace journalism and new rules for media in the reporting on conflict .
