Andrea Elson (born March 6, 1969 in New York, New York) is an American actress. She is best known playing the role of Lynn Tanner on ALF. She had also previously played in the 1983 show Whiz Kids with Matthew Laborteaux of Little House on the Prairie.
Elson married TV producer Scott Hopper (whom she met while working on the ALF sitcom) in 1993, and gave birth to daughter Claire in 1997. Elson suffered from bulimia during the second season of ALF. "I was this skinny little twig when I started, and then I started to get breasts and hips and I didn't like it". Husband Scott Hooper finally confronted her about her bulimia and while she did not seek professional help she said she "became healthy when I was pregnant in 1997."[1]
