Andrés Bretel

Andrés Bretel is a Peruvian musician and record producer[1]. Born in Lima (June 24th, 1978). He began his career as a bass guitar player. He played with bands like Nativo Sol and Madre Matilda[2]. He produced, engineered, mixed and mastered the first Gaia album in 2003 and then started working as a producer and mastering engineer. He has worked with some of the best artists in Perú, including Tonka, Best New Band 2005 in Peruvian radios and newspapers (Tonka's first album, Beta was nominated for Best Alternative Rock Record on 2005); Space Bee (a rock band that toured the UK on 2004 and has been selected for the Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition 2007) others like R3SET, Presidente Morsa, Wayo, etc. He is the current bass player in TK, one of the most important rock bands from Peru[3]. The band has just signed a new record contract with KMM Group US Latin to record their third album. Andrés is also starting a career as a music-video director, having created videos for Gaia[4], Tonka, Carlos Salas[5][6], Wayo[7][8] and Fueradelresto[9][10].
