André de France

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

André de France or André de Paris is the hero of an Old French romance, written in the 12th century, whose text is now lost. He was in love with a queen, and eventually died of love. Many troubadours and other early authors mention the story, including Raimbaut de Vaqueiras (poems 6 and 17 of the Linskill edition).
