André Gernez cofounded the stem cells theory with Konrad Lorenz. They got the Hans Adalbert Schweigart price on the 17th of june 1979 in Salzburg (Austria) for that formulation. This theory explains both the Embryonic stem cell and the Cancer stem cell articles.
Since 2006, Doctor Gernez ask to create a world bank to help organ transplant and avoid immune diseases[1]. This practice is already observable in the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto (Canada).
On 19th of november 2007, Doctor Gernez received a gold medal in the french Senate for his work for progress.
