From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

André de Paulo Barreto (born August 6, 1979 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian football (soccer) midfielder, who currently plays for CD Trofense in the second division.

After playing in Brazil with Bangu and later Bonsucesso, Barreto started his European and Portuguese adventure in 2001-02, with CD Aves. He went on to represent GD Estoril-Praia (two stints) and Boavista FC (two).

In 2005-06, Barreto was bought by Poland's Wisła Kraków, but was loaned in January to another Portuguese side, Estrela Amadora. The following season, he split time with two Portuguese Liga outfits: CS Marítimo and Vitória FC (in Setúbal since January 2007).

In 2007-08, Barreto switched sides again, joining CD Trofense and achieving promotion to the first division, a first for the northern club.
