András Hargitay (born March 17, 1956) is a former medley swimmer from Hungary, who won the bronze medal as a sixteen-year old in the men's 400m individual medley.
Hargitay was one of the leading medley swimmers in the 1970s, collecting a total number of six titles at the World and European Championships. A world record holder in the 400m individual medley for nearly two years (1974-1976), he was named Hungarian Sportsman of the Year in 1975.
