Anderster

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anderster or andɐrstɐr - as it says on the album cover - is the last studio album by the German punk rock band WIZO.

As the band quotes on the back cover of their album, they called it like that because the album should actually become totally different but eventually became even 'more different'.

The word anderster refers to the German word anders, which means 'different'. However, the word anderster does not officially exist within the German language and can be called a neologism or rather a grammatically wrong construction. Although, one can recognise what it is supposed to mean, anders itself is not considered comparable, for the correcter expression of anderster would be for instance "andersartiger" or "anderswie", which all means 'more different', 'completely different' or 'very different'.
