Anderson High School Wigwam is an indoor arena in Anderson, Indiana. The current version hosts home games for the Anderson High School Indians and was home to the Indiana Alley Cats of the Continental Basketball Association, but is now home of the Anderson Champions of the American Basketball Association. The original arena hosted the NBA's Anderson Packers from 1949 to 1950. It burned down in 1958. The new arena opened up in 1961 and has a capacity of 8,996. It is the second largest high school basketball arena after New Castle Fieldhouse in New Castle, Indiana. The Indiana Pacers played many games at the Wigwam, early in the team's history.

[edit] Hillary Clinton's Visit

On March 18, 2008, U.S. Secret Service agents met with members of Anderson Police Department for a tour at the Wigwam, where Hillary Clinton was due to speak. Her speech at The Wigwam was scheduled to begin around 3:45 PM on March 20, 2008 and last about an hour, according to campaign staff.

The last nationally recognized politician to visit Anderson, Indiana was Robert Kennedy, where according to a Highland High School Geography Teacher, the U.S. Secret Service removed all the silverware from the cabinets, and even removed a lawnmower blade from the lawn mower in the garage.
