Andarab District

Andarab district (pop: 47,000) is located in the southern part of Baghlan province in the northeastern Afghanistan. The Tajiks are the predominant ethnic group. The capital is the city of Andarab (Banow).
The houses are built with mud bricks, the roads are in bad condition.
There are occurrences of malachite and other minerals-pyrite, chalcopyrite, biotite, muscovite and others.
