And the Cradle Will Rock...

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And the Cradle Will Rock... is a song written and performed by Van Halen. It appears on their 1980 album Women and Children First. It was the only single off the album. It is also the first song released by the band that featured the keyboard playing of iconic guitarist Edward Van Halen.

And the Cradle Will Rock... was also included in both of Van Halen's "Best Of" albums.

The song's distinctive intro is a heavily phased Wurlitzer electric piano which was run through Van Halen's 1969 100-watt Marshall Plexi amplifier. [1]

For the first few shows of the 2007 Van Halen tour David Lee Roth says "Have you seen Wolfie's grades?" instead of the recording's "Have you seen junior's grades?" line. From then on, he has said the latter.
