[edit] Plato

Plato should be removed, as he was definitely no vegetarian (see Johannes Haussleiter, Der Vegetarismus in der Antike, Berlin 1935, p. 184-198). 84.151.238.31 17:00, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Christians ancient Greeks?

The Category page includes Basil of Caesarea and Clement of Alexandria. These were both Christian saints who, while they may indeed have been vegetarians, were not ancient Greeks. The article on Ancient Greece defines the period as lasting "ca. 750 BC (the archaic period) to 146 BC (the Roman conquest)." I will go ahead and remove them, but if I am in error about this, please feel free to restore them. MishaPan (talk) 05:13, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
