Description

Photo of the last known male of the Mariana Mallard, Anas platyrhynchos oustaleti, during the last-minute attempt to set up a captive breeding program. Taken by Eugene Kridler for the USFWS, either on Hawaii or in San Diego. This bird shows the "superciliosa" (subdued) plumage type.
