The Anales de Química is a Spanish peer-reviewed scientific journal in the field of chemistry. In 1903 the first issue was published by the Real Sociedad Española de Física y Química, which later became the Real Sociedad Española de Química.

Anales des Quimica were published in the following order:

  • Anales de la Real Sociedad Espanola de Fisisca y Quimica, Vol. 1 (1903) to Vol. 36 (1940), (ISSN 0365-6675, CODEN ASEFAR).
  • Anales de Física y Química, Vol 37 (1941) to Vol. 43 (1947), (ISSN 0365-2351, CODEN AFQMAH).

With Vol. 44 (1948) the journal was split in two serial titles:

  • Anales de la Real Sociedad Española de Física y Química / Ser. A, Física, Vol. 44 (1948) to Vol. 63 (1967) (ISSN 0034-0871, CODEN ARSFAM).
  • Anales de la Real Sociedad Española de Física y Química / Ser. B, Química, Vol. 44 (1948) to Vol. 63 (1967), (ISSN 0034-088X, CODEN ARSQAL).

Subseries A of this title became the Anales de Física. With Vol. 64 (1968) subseries B was continued under the first title to form the

  • Anales de Quimica (1968-1979) , Vol 64 (1968) to Vol. 75 (1979), (ISSN 0365-4990, CODEN ANQUBU).

With Vol. 76 (1980) to Vol. 85 (1989) this title was split in three subtitles:

  • Anales de Química / Serie A, Química Física y Ingenieria Química, (ISSN 0211-1330, CODEN AQSTDQ),
  • Anales de Química / Serie B, Química Inorgánica y Química Analítica, (ISSN 0211-1349, CODEN AQSAD3),
  • Anales de Química / Serie C, Química Orgánica y Bioquímica, (ISSN 0211-1357, CODEN AQSBD6)

With Vol. 86 (1990) until Vol. 91 (1995) subseries A to C were merged again to form

  • Anales de Química, Vol 86 (1990) to Vol. 91 (1995), (ISSN 1130-2283, CODEN ANQUEX).

Finally, the journal was renamed to

  • Anales de Química, International Edition, Vol. 92 (1996) to Vol. 94 (1998), (ISSN 1130-2283, CODEN AQIEFZ),

until it was absorbed in 1998, to form the European Journal of Organic Chemistry and the European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry.

To continue the tradition of Anales de Química, the Real Sociedad Española de Química has founded a new journal in 1999:
