Talk:An Autobiography of a Person in the Spirit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article was proposed for deletion under the wiki criterion, which I have studied closely and thus agree to that to some extent! However there are number of reasons which I can think of to justify of its being on wiki and hence not to be deleted.
1. I personally created this article for number of reasons: a) The articles related to the author of this book are a mess. If not a mess, I will rephrase my words and would say that its confusing, poor, quite controversial, and not at all encyclopaedic. b) Hence some of the best written works/(books) of this author (Lt. Witness Lee) should be available on Wiki for the readers and users of wiki to evaluate the neutrality, summary, and conclusion of the things they might want to. c) This book is relatively new but is one of the best seller of Living Stream Ministry and some other Christian book stores. Also this book is among the few selects to be freely distributed in the countries like India, Africa, many eastern European countries and the places, where the local church is spreading. d) The books by this author (perhaps this one too) has been translated into as many as at least five to seven different languages. This book is no doubt a widely read book by christian public across the globe.
2. Secondly, a) I believe in the word "encyclopaedia" and that it should keep on adding the works worth telling/mentioning and keep on increasing rather than getting narrower based on some rules which might not be the best judge in all cases. b) Any one can open the encyclopaedia and find an article on topics like "binomial function" (a mathematical functions, etc..); TV series like "Masters of Horrors" and details about all of its episodes and things even more weird and strange in topic, nature, and content. We all can agree to that! Moreover, I understand the reason of such inclusion of those articles. But, we need to realize that today the first and the best site a "student" look/open or trust on internet is the WIKI ... on any topic whether on review/ information about any book, the stories of movies, or the temperature issue of a thermocouple. So, my another purpose to contribute to the WIKI is for the YOUNG PEOPLE ,, and the things they might want to look/ read on wiki. c) The article is in-fact worth mentioning as the young people around the world in the local churches alone could be anywhere between millions. All other Christian youth if we count -- will only increase the number exponentially. d) I planned to open/write/ start articles on each and every book I come across in my life and which is not on WIKI. This book is one of those few. And I respect and trust the privilege, interest, and benefits of the users of the wikipedia in doing so.
3. a) If these justifications are week or not sufficient, I am willing to discuss the subject further. b) Finally, I am only a member of this large wiki community, so the final decision is of yours and I'll keep on contributing to the world through wiki.
