First, the other children mock at her, but one day Tip Malone, the boss of a boys’ gang, finds interest in Lovejoys doing. A tender friendship grows between the two children, just as the green in Lovejoy’s small garden. All this changes the views of Lovejoy and Tip and some other people in the stone jungle of the big city.
