Aníron
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Aníron" is a song in the The Lord of the Rings film trilogy soundtrack. It is the theme for Aragorn (known later as Elessar) and Arwen Evenstar. Aníron means 'I desire' in the constructed Elvish language of Sindarin. It is featured in the song "The Council of Elrond" which is the 10th track on the album, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. This song does not appear in Tolkien's writings; it was written and composed by Enya. However, the symphony was conducted by Howard Shore, and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra with Enya. The elvish in the song was thought to be recorded around the beginning of the 2nd Age.
