Amy Spanger

Amy Spanger, born 1971 in Newbury, Massachusetts, is an American actress, singer and dancer.

A graduate of Triton Regional High School in Byfield, Massachusetts and Yale University, Spanger made her Broadway debut in 1995 in the musical Sunset Boulevard. She has also appeared on Broadway in the revival of Kiss Me, Kate, in which she played the dual role of Lois/Bianca, in Chicago as Roxie Hart, and Urinetown as Hope Cladwell.

Spanger also appeared in the national touring companies of Rent and Chicago. She originated the role of Susan in the off-Broadway production of the Jonathan Larson musical tick, tick... BOOM!. Other stage credits include: Lunch, R Shomon, and Feeling Electric, in which she co-starred with actor Anthony Rapp.

Her television credits include: Ed, Egg: The Arts Show, and Six Feet Under. Amy also starred in the Showtime original movie musical Reefer Madness (2005 film) as Sally.

Spanger married actor Michael C. Hall in 2002. The couple separated in 2006.
