Amruta Patki is the Pond's Femina Miss India-Earth 2006. She represented India at the Miss Earth 2006 pageant. She was chosen as the Miss Earth Air 2006 (a title given to the first runner up in this competition). She finished second among 80 competing delegates from other countries. Miss Chile, Hil Yesenia Hernandez was the eventual winner of Miss Earth 2006.
The Miss Earth 2006 pageant, in its sixth year, took place on November 26, 2006 at the National Museum in Manila, Philippines. More than 100 contestants were expected to come, but only 82 nations were confirmed to participate this year. Nevertheless, it was still the highest turn-out for the event.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
