[edit] Re: Res Evil

Hi, I usually hunt around the Resident Evil pages and rephrase bits and pieces that sound a little sub-par. I'm a big fan of the games, so if you need anything cleared up, I'll generally log on at least once a day. Gimme a yell if you need an answer here or there. Gamer Junkie 10:30, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks! Amphytrite 01:01, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi!

Hi! I stumbled upon your page while looking at the user: ska category. You like ska too? ^_^ I find No Doubt the best ska band ever. You're lucky you got a welcome notice on your talk page. I never got one. :O OreosTalkContribs 14:34, 21 May 2006 (UTC) P.S. Apparently we have a lot in common.

Wikipedia brings the world together. I don't think I've ever met another ska fan in my life, aside from my best friend and people at ska shows. Amphytrite 01:01, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't think it's dead either- some of ND's newest songs have ska in them. >.< I don't think they went all the way with pop- only Gwen did that on her debut. (Which rocks, by the way) Their complications album rocked too. My favorite song is Oi to the World. Well, we both use Firefox, we both like ska, etc. :D OreosTalkContribs 20:00, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
You're right, they didn't entirely go pop, but they did back away from ska and edge more into modern punk, I think. I love the song Oi to the World-one of my friends at school played me it before we left for winter break, and it was stuck in my head for days. Have you heard any of Reel Big Fish's stuff? I think their new album's a step down from Cheer Up!; it's a lot more depressing. I pretty much owe Firefox my soul. It pulled me out of a real irritating pickle with IE. Anyway, give me a ring/buzz/orange bar sometime! Amphytrite 04:31, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Omigosh, I just realized I was talking to you on this page, and then I hit myself in the head because I forgot about 'cha. XP Sorry 'bout that. No, I haven't heard of them, actually. I owe Firefox my soul too. IE just got so boring and......unfriendly, you know what I mean? XD Give me a bar too! (Oh yeah- don't let my current userpage fool ya. If you see TWO bars when you visit my page, click the links on the top, because the one on mine is a joke!) OreosTalkContribs 01:37, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
That's okay! Wikipedia really sucks people in, eh? It's kinda like a space vacuum...or something shiny. You know, magpies and all that jazz. I was doing okay with IE until I started getting popups and I got so sick of them that I just tossed IE completely and got Firefox. So anyway...I live in a tiny little town called Cowpens and I'm a Latin major at a liberal arts college in Virginia. What's up with yourself? Amphytrite 01:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm just a weird, ska-obsessed geek who has an iPod and wants a dual-boot Mac Windows compy. :D If I told you how old I was, I would probably be yelled at. (Don't ask.) I have one penpal named Rocky. Erm, yeah. OreosTalkContribs 01:29, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
I love my iPod with all my heart! It goes everywhere with me, even when I don't need it, because you never know when you're going to need some good music (aka always). What kind of iPod do you have? I have a 20k fourth generation one. The only thing that bugs me is how easily they scratch! One of my friends and I are currently at penpal status, because she doesn't have internet access and we live far apart, so we keep each other appraised of what's going on by snail mail. Green Day's okay-I'm not a huge fan of theirs, but I definitely respect how much they've influenced punk music and what they bring to the table. What the heck does WMUWSE mean? Amphytrite 03:12, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
I have 4GB iPod mini. I must admit I don't know where it is :P Snail mail is, well, kinda cool- at least you can have the joy of anticipation. :D Green Day's probably in the top five most infuential bands....take zis for example. XD However, I'm not pleased with VH1 on that....hard rock? What the ****? :O I heard No Doubt's making a new album....I'm happy about that. :) Oh, WMUWSE means 'wake me up when september ends'. OreosTalkContribs 12:58, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, except we aren't on a real schedule, it's more like whenever one of us gets around to writing we write! But that's okay. I really like to not think of VH1 as the all-knowing ministry of music, because looking at that list...it's really objective, because a lot of people don't think The Rolling Stones and Meatloaf (is Meatloaf REALLY on this list? *blinks*) are hard rock, as well as a bunch of other bands. The lists that VH1 pulls out of its hat are weird sometimes, to say the least. Here's to hoping that No Doubt's latest album will be as good as all the rest! Amphytrite 03:20, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

Hello! I see you have tagged yourelf with a {{la-4}} template. Would you like to help us by translating into latin any of the official polices or help pages of Wikipedia? —Argentino (talk/cont.) 20:22, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Haven't seen ya in a while.....

Hey! I haven't talk to you in ages!!!! How are you? I'm fine. I can't wait to go on vacation in Canada. I love CA. Øřêōş 23:16, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Hey hon! I'm doing pretty well too. My computer's modem got fried for like two weeks, so I had nothing to do with the internet during that time :-( But it's better now! I'm so jealous you get to go to Canada-it's such a cool country; Ontario is absolutely beautiful. Have fun! Amphytrite 02:49, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, but I might end up going on Saturday, which stinks. :-/ At least that gives me more time to pack. :P How'd it get fried? Fire? Lightning? Power outage? WATER?!?!? :-O Øřêōş 12:41, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
We had a blackout one night for no apparent reason while I was online, and then I lost the dial tone on the modem. It had to be the most boring two weeks of my life. Going late is better than not going at all! I wish I were going somewhere this summer, but instead I get to mow the lawn like everyday. Amphytrite 22:25, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grammar

I see that you like to fix grammar problems on Wikipedia and I appreciate your efforts. Just to let you know, in your first paragraph about your horse, I think you left a word or two out. I just wanted to let you know, since I figured you wouldn't want any errors on your page. Have a great day. --Nehrams2020 06:57, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Look, I can't even spell. --Nehrams2020 06:58, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Oh jeez, I did. Thanks for pointing that out, and thanks for the comment! I love my grammar. Amphytrite 03:14, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I got to go to Vatican City. It was a great place to visit, especially the Vatican Museum. The museum had many interesting statues and murals, and it of course included the Sistine Chapel. That was the extent of my entrance into Vatican City, since the guards don't really let tourists into the country/city. But if you're considering going I highly recommend that you do. --Nehrams2020 06:08, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Microwaving DVDs

Those photos are all from DVDs/CDs microwaved in my dorm. It doesn't set off the smoke alarms (just try not to inhale too much of what comes out after you microwave it). I've done dozens of discs in the same dorm microwave. — BRIAN0918 • 2006-09-07 00:56Z

[edit] Hi.

Hi. Haven't seen ya in a while. How are you? I'm bored. !!!! (oops) Øřêōş 23:44, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

It was awesome! I saw all my friends and cousins there. I have a lot of homework, but I've finished it and I'm starting on a few new books: A Dog's Life: The Autobiography of a Stray by Ann M. Martin, W.I.T.C.H.: Forces of Change(I've read and owned all of them except for the 21st, which I need to finish.) and Harry Houdini's biography from DK. I love reading anyway :) Øřêōş 22:34, 13 September 2006 (UTC) EDIT: I'm getting sad because iTunes 7 won't load. I don't even like iTunes 7. I prefer 6.4.... Is iTunes working for you? I can't live without music!!!! *throws a fit* And there are around 10 songs not on my iPod yet that need to be on it! My iPod is sad as well. Øřêōş 23:29, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I can't get your usertalk to work, so I'm saving this here for now!

Oh no! I've been archived! Anyway, iTunes has been kind of weird for me--it's loading slowly and pretty much every time I move the mouse the music gets caught. It's really annoying, and my roommate just got iTunes 7 and doesn't like it. I don't want to switch! I'm almost done reading a book about Ancient Greek religion, which is about as dry as the Sahara. I can't wait to have fall break in October, just for some time off from all the homework I have! Amphytrite 18:29, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

I fixed it. I think it was the little <!-- --> things, but I put another one in and it's fine now. :) iTunes works now. I think it was my firewall, I dunno. I don't want to switch either, because a. I could lose the two Aly & AJ downloads I just got (both of Chemicals React- the single and the Simlish video) b. it's too shiny. :P If you could rate that book 1-5, 1 being quite horrible, what would you rate it? To me it seems like a 1 or 2 :P I have fall break in November. Lucky. Øřêōş 00:41, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Ah. I'm reading a book on Harry Houdini and it's around a 3. No, I have a black-and-white iPod mini. :( I NEED a new iPod. In fact, I think I'm going to get one. The new iPod nanos are insane. Øřêōş 00:50, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
YAY NOW WE DON'T HAVE TO WAIT 2 DAYS FOR A REPLY :D I wouldn't be surprised that if in a few years, there will be shuffles with terabyte-nearing hard drives :P I once saw a person in Anaheim, Calif. with a really small mp3 last year. It scared me :P Yeah, I agree. No downhill, no insanity. Øřêōş 00:59, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah! That's what I mean by small. I would lose it instantly, since I lost my iPod mini for like, what? 3 months. :P Yeah, yep, yop, yup... Øřêōş 14:10, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Greek to me

Greetings. I just wrote the page Greek to me. I am comparing similar expressions in other languages. I was wondering if you would be able to add the expression in any languages with which you are comfortable. Btw, I just found your page/profile by running a search for users who have a level 4/level 5 ability in non-English languages. Thanks much! samwaltz 04:20, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
