Potted Biography

Andrew Taylor arrived in the UK from South Africa in 1955 and after a year in a local newspaper, went to the USA where he spent three years before returning to the uK and joining the British Army. He spent time in NATO and then at the War Office in London and left four years later where he became a private detective whilst studying for his ACIS.

After twenty years in Sales and Marketing he ended up running a department of twenty-seven. However when the Commodore PET came out, he decided this was going to be the biggest thing since sliced bread and became heavily involved with it, first as a programmer, then a dealer/consultant and, for the last twenty years, as a journalist.

During this latter time he started up The Archer newspaper in East Finchley with the help of a few friends, and also as the editor of Connectivity, the magazine of the PC User Group which he eventually purchased. During the last decade he worked as a freelance journalist and photographer where he took a great delight in getting paid for playing with all his "toys".

He is now retired and lives with Pam, his second wife of thirty years, and their angry cat. He still writes occasionally, and photographs a lot and, when he is not out and about, he loves nothing better than spending hours at a time, on his computer.

However, he is now embarked on a new project aiming to mobilise the disillusioned in the political arena.
