Are you sure about the use as "host" beginning with Moliere? It seems unlikely (to me) that the Spanish word anfitrión would have had time since Moliere to get established as meaning "host". Mswake 13:23, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Comment about Platus and "later Aristophanic treatments" needs an edit because it suggests that Aristophanes wrote after Plautus. True, "Aristophanic" means "like Aristophanes ," not Aristophanes himself . . . but that "later" confused me for a minute.

In the Wikipedia text Iphicles is described as both a twin and as having been born later than his brother. Which is it?
