- That is not the problem, the problem is it is written like an advertisment. Oysterguitarist 23:48, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Advertising-type of info deleted. More? 69.117.136.18 23:58, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Editing of this page is an ongoing process which will take tine to correct all of the inappropriate info, and to add more details about AMPEREX. 69.117.136.18 00:45, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help. 69.117.136.18 01:26, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Pictures of the various facilities, to be added within the week 69.117.136.18 20:19, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Providing reliable sources is much more important than providing pics. Plus, where are these pics going to come from? You can only upload your own to Wikipedia... GlassFET 21:32, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- I am very happy that others, such as GlassFET are making contributions to this page. I am the reliable source, having worked at the Hicksville facility from 1987 'til they closed in 1989. All photos are my own, mostly taken by me at the AMPEREX factory in Hicksville, NY, I need to scan them in, please be patient. 69.117.136.18 02:26, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

- Sorry, you misunderstand. A person cannot be a reliable source. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. All information must be verifiable by citation to written sources. GlassFET 14:36, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

- By extension, all materials obtained from the Web and from libraries cannot be reliable sources, either, because they were created by "persons". —QuicksilverT @ 22:45, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

- There is little published information reagding Amperex. That is why I am preparing pictures. For example,a picture of the members of the Amperex softball team wearing their company provided Amperex jerseys will allow a person to independently verify that Amperex had a softball team, etc, simply by viewing the picture. 69.117.136.18 19:46, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nolan Bushnell
I removed the reference to Nolan Bushnell having worked at Amperex. This nonsense was mined from a bad Web reference that got a number of facts wrong, including the name of Allan Alcorn. Bushnell and Alcorn worked at Ampex in Redwood City, California, not Amperex. —QuicksilverT @ 22:45, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
