Wiang Pa Pao (Thai: เวียงป่าเป้า) is the southwesternmost district (Amphoe) of Chiang Rai Province, northern Thailand.

Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Mae Suai, Phan of Chiang Rai Province, Wang Nuea, Mueang Pan of Lampang Province, Doi Saket and Phrao of Chiang Mai Province.

The minor district (King Amphoe) was created in 1907 as a subordinate of Mae Prik district, the present-day district Mae Suai. It was upgraded to a full district in 1932.

The district is subdivided into 7 subdistricts (tambon), which are further subdivided into 92 villages (muban). There are two townships (thesaban tambon) - Wiang Pa Pao covers parts of tambon Wiang, and Mae Khachan covers parts of tambon Mae Chai. There are further 7 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
