Mueang Nongbua Lamphu (Thai: เมืองหนองบัวลำภู) is the capital district (Amphoe Mueang) of Nongbua Lamphu Province, northeastern Thailand.

Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise) Non Sang, Si Bun Rueang, Na Klang of Nongbua Lamphu Province, Kut Chap and Nong Wua So of Udon Thani Province.

The district is subdivided into 15 subdistricts (tambon), which are further subdivided into 172 villages (muban). The town (thesaban mueang) Nong Bua Lam Phu covers parts of the tambon Nong Bua, Pho Chai and the whole tambon Lam Phu. There are three townships (thesaban tambon) - Hua Na, Na Mafueang and Na Kham Hai each cover parts of the same-named tambon. There are further 13 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
