Amphinase
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Amphinase is a synthetic molecule based on one found from the eggs of the northern leopard frog. It holds the potential to treat many types of cancer, with the current scientific focus being on that of tumors found within the brain. The molecule, a type of ribonuclease, is found to latch onto the surface glycoproteins of a cancer cell, allowing it to enter and destroy the cell.
